It’s cold and wet outside and I cannot see it
all
Should be thankful I’m alive, but it’s pride
before the fall
The journey begins; I want what I don’t have
The grass is always green on the other side
of the path
Not waiting or anticipating what lies up ahead
I’m close to the edge but safe in Your arms
I’m close to the edge but fine
So easy
to think that it’s too hard
When life
wants to send us close to the edge sometimes
The clouds of doubt set in darkening my trail
The shadows overcome; I wonder if I’ll fail
A street
lamp flickers dim while I carry on way
It’s hard
to see the light when all’s to see is gray
Not waiting or anticipating what I’m gonna see
I’m close to the edge but safe in Your arms
I’m close to the edge but fine
So easy
to think that it’s too hard
When life
wants to send us close to the edge sometimes
No warning, no sign, the appointment’s come at
last
Two stubborn wills collide but the worst
hasn’t passed
The pain sets in and the tests begin to see
if I’ll survive
Finished, done, has death won the claim to
another life?
He who speaks and it is knows what’s mine and
what’s His
He wins battles and finishes wars
When life
is at stake all we can do is wait
For this too
shall pass
I’m close to the edge but safe in Your arms
I’m close to the edge but fine
So easy
to think that it’s too hard
When life
wants to send us so close to the edge but I’m safe in His arms
So close to the edge but I’m fine
When He’s all that I have it isn’t too hard
For life to send us close to the edge
sometimes
